HICAPS is an electronic, real time, claims and payments system which offers members of participating health funds, the convenience of automatic claims processing on the spot.
The real benefit our patients is convenience; patients no longer have to queue at health fund branches or fill in lengthy claims forms.
How Do You Claim?
After the consultation, your health fund card is simply swiped through the HICAPS terminal by your osteopath. Your claim details are entered and in seconds the whole transaction is processed.
Once your claim is authorised, you simply pay the gap amount - the difference between the full fee for the treatment and the amount claimed from your health fund.
You will require your health fund card. Please refer to your health fund for further information to check that osteopathic treatment is covered.
