Sharon worked miracles.  For the first 2 months our baby daughter never seemed to stop crying, always seemed uncomfortable and we were lucky if she napped for 20 minutes at a time.  After 3 sessions with Sharon we had a different baby, people now comment 'wow, what a happy soul, she's so relaxed'.The treatments made a huge difference, 20 minutes became 2 hour naps, and the very stressful colic hours between 5 and 9 stopped.  Sharon went the extra mile, making sure I, in a very emotional state when I first went to see her was doing ok, phoning between our sessions, something I really appreciated.  I am forever grateful to Sharon and the person who recommended her!

I first saw Sharon at North Shore Osteopaths 36 weeks into my pregnancy on the recommendation of a friend. I had developed severe, acute lower back and pelvic pain (the result of an over-strained sacro-iliac joint) and was unable to walk without the aid of a crutch. After 3 treatments in quick succession I could feel the immediate benefit of the treatment as the muscles had relaxed to a point where I could walk without the crutch. The pain lessened after each subsequent treatment I was able to walk normally again and enjoy the last few weeks of my pregnancy pain free. Without Sharon's help I doubt a speedy recovery would have been possible. I would highly recommend NSO and Sharon's services to anyone and especially pregnant women.

When I was pregnant with my second child I was working and driving around a lot. This was causing back pain which would sometimes bring me to tears. My midwife suggested seeing an Osteopath and after 1-2 sessions with North Shore Osteopaths, the relief was instant. With my third pregnancy I made sure I had some early treatment and was able to continue working pain free throughout the pregnancy. I took my 3 month old son to see Sharon as he was waking after only 30 - 40 minutes sleep during the day. I had heard cranial osteopathy could help. Both my husband (who had been a bit of a sceptic initially!) and I were blown away with the change. The very next day he started sleeping between 1 1/2 - 3 hours at a time. This made for a much happier baby and much happier parents!I took him for cranial treatment about every month or 2 over the next 6 months but after that his day time sleeps were consistently better and no more treatment was necessary. I went to see Sharon over a year ago at NSO after an ongoing problem with bursitis in my left hip. I had been treated over a period of probably 3 months by a physio with not a very good result - it was never successful. It got to the stage where I could not lie on my left side in bed and was extremely painful. I had 3 treatments where she treated my bursitis with the result that I have had no problem with the complaint since then. I first saw Kate at NSO when I was pregnant as she was recommended to me by my Doula. I have been seeing osteopaths/ chiropractors since I was 16 and in a severe car accident, to assist with my back to keep me pain free. I had been having challenges finding a practitioner I clicked with and listened to my needs and treated me as a person rather than a quick 'crack job'. I was absolutely blown away with Kate. Not only does she listen to my needs, she gives me her time to treat me properly. Initially I was only going to see her for the duration of the pregnancy- which she made very comfortable for me through all the changes. Kate’s value was even more evident after I gave birth. She assisted to get my body back into shape with releasing the fluid as well as kept my body working the best it could with breast feeding. She has also provided great assistance with Finn treating him just after he was born, after his shots and when we get back from flights. Every time Kate has treated him- he has settled down and is a delightful little boy.

My husband Dale also sees Kate for treatments, as an ex- professional athlete he has had his share of parts of his body being stiff and sore. I remember the first time he saw Kate he couldn’t believe the relief and freedom of movement he had.
I cannot thank Kate enough for all she has done for us as a family with our health. It is so hard to find a good practitioner and I am so grateful Kate was referred to us. She weaves her healing magic well!

My family is all clients of NSO, having been treated at the clinic since they started operating. I'm continually amazed at the range of conditions that Osteopathy is able to treat. Sharon has been able to alleviate pregnancy-related hip problems that everyone told me were something that I would just have to tolerate. After my child was born, she helped re-align my body and relieve stresses that were contributing to poor breastmilk supply, and she gently treated my newborn son after his long exhausting labour. She kept me mobile through one pregnancy, and is busy keeping me mobile through a second! I cannot recommend her services highly enough.

Playing in the local over 35’s soccer competition, I found that I am not quite as resilient as I used to be ...... in particular, I have been suffering with an ongoing calf injury. I went to NSO and was impressed with their diagnosis and treatment. A few sessions of stretching and deep massage direct to the area of greatest pain and elsewhere corrected my injury. I have been since able to enjoy the remainder of my season free of pain or follow up injury. I was so impressed that I referred my wife who has suffered years of chronic back injury. She had tried a range of other therapies with no real benefit. She is now involved in an ongoing program and is making steady progress.
